Philosophers

Philosophers

After the war several great thinkers appear that were set to find answers to hard answers no matter where the search led them. They where called philosophers which meant “lovers of wisdom.” They based their findings in the following two assumptions.
“The universe (land, sky, and sea) is put together in an orderly way, and subject to absolute and unchanging laws.”
“People can understand these laws through logic and reason.”

One of these philosophers was Socrates. He believed that “the unexamined life is worth not living.” He later was killed at age of 70 at a trial where he was declared guilty for “corrupting the youth of Athens,” and “neglecting the city’s gods.” He later was follow by one of his students name Plato. He wrote a book named, “The Republic” which stated a perfect govern society. Then he was followed by one of his students name Aristotle. He questioned the nature of the world and of human belief, thought, and knowledge, and also argued, “he who studies how things originated will achieve the clearest view of them.”
