Gladiators

In ancient Rome there were distractions. Gladiators were put to fight in a coliseum for entertainment. They would have to fight each other till one of them will die. They will fight each other and exotic animal’s ass well. The gladiators were slaves, criminals, and Christians. The crowd will say if the person should die with thumbs down, and if the thumbs will be up he shall live. The gladiators will fight throughout 3 years and if they survive those 3 years they will be free.

There are many distractions in the U.S today. Some of them can be referred as T.V, computers, and sports. Just like in Rome there are dirty sports that can be compared to the gladiators. In the UFC the fighters will fight until one is knocked out and can no longer fight.

We think that the U.S is a little similar to the roman that cheered as people got killed in the coliseum. Today the people in America watched sports such as boxing and UFC fighting. In roman the people watched people get killed in the coliseum just like we see people get knockout.
